Surgery Times

GP availability

Dr. Parmar is available from 8.00am until 6.30pm Monday to Friday. If you require an emergency appointment or need emergency advice please contact the surgery.

Extended Hours Appointments

We offer extended hours appointments which are a mixture of face to face and telephone consultations between 6.30pm and 7.00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Out Of Hours

The local out-of-hours service can be contacted by telephoning 111 or the surgery number and following the instructions. The nearest Casualty Department is at Queen’s Hospital, Belvedere Road, Burton-upon-Trent and the nearest NHS walk-in centre is at Swadlincote Clinic, Civic Way, Swadlincote.


If you are confronted by a serious problem such as severe chest pain or profuse bleeding call an ambulance (Tel: 999) before calling the surgery.

NHS 111 Service

Call 111 when it's less urgent than 999.

NHS 111 is an NHS service designed to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it's not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time.

Extended Access Service

Swadlincote Health Initiative based at Heartwood Medical Centre, Civic Way, Swadlincote are now providing a limited extended access service to patients who fulfil their criteria. Overseal Surgery has been allocated 1 appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 6.30pm - 8.00pm. We have not been allocated any weekend appointments. These may not be GP appointments. Please contact us Tel: 01283 760595 for an appointment. As appointments as so limited please do not be disappointed if you are unable to access this service.
